Custom Fitting allows you to have made to measure golf clubs to suit what you require from a set. Wath Golf Club is a registered Custom fitting centre for Ping, Mizuno and Benross golf equpiment. We have Custom Fitted equipment available to suit any budget.

Head PGA Professional and Chief Custom Fitting Technician Chris Bassett is fully trained by Ping and Mizuno in the art of Custom Fitting. As a former European Tour Professional he is fully aware of the edge Custom Fitted equipment can have on your game.

Custom Fitting is extremelly improtant to consistant performance in golf. Correctly fitted golf equipment allows the player to present the golf club back to ball in a more consistent fashion. Custom fitting is a two step process, Static and Dynamic Fitting:

Static Fitting involves taking physical measurements to give a ball park assement of which size clubs (club lie-angle and shaft-length) will be required. A discussion of current performance and desired performance-improvement will also be undertaken including clubhead aesthetics and set composition (e.g. number of golf clubs required including the possibility of hybrid clubs and speciality wedges).

 Armed with this information the Dynamic Fitting can begin. This process involves hitting golf balls on the driving range, testing the Static Fitted clubs and altering as necessary. This is also where shaft type is decided upon. After watching the performance of the golf ball and taking into consideration the desired performance-improvement the fitting technician can select the best performing shaft. This process cannot be peformed in a net as watching ball flight is an absolute must. Once the pefect specification is decided upon the final set make-up can then be selected.

As all Custom Fitted sets are built to your exact specification from component form a slight delay of 8 -10 working days is the norm for delivery from the manufacturers.
